Biographie

Die Harfenistin Verena Wagner widmet sich mit Leidenschaft der Vielfalt ihres Instruments und möchte ihrem Publikum dessen gesamte Klangfarbenpalette eröffnen. 

Geboren und aufgewachsen in Ingolstadt, absolvierte Verena ihre musikalische Ausbildung an der Hochschule für Musik Detmold in der Klasse von Prof. Godelieve Schrama. Im Rahmen eines Erasmus-Aufenthalts am Pôle Supérieur d’Enseignement Artistique Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB) studierte sie zudem bei Prof. Ghislaine Petit-Volta, einer der renommiertesten Harfenpädagoginnen Frankreichs. Anschließend setzte sie ihre Studien an der Haute école des arts du Rhin in Straßburg bei Prof. Mélanie Laurent fort. 

Verena ist Stipendiatin der Cité internationale des arts Paris und wurde durch den GFF der HfM Detmold sowie das PROMOS-Programm des DAAD gefördert. Darüber hinaus erhielt sie Unterricht in historischer Einfachpedalharfe und historisch informierter Aufführungspraxis bei Masumi Nagasawa. 

 Wichtige künstlerische Impulse erhielt sie zudem in Meisterkursen bei Isabel Moretti, Isabelle Perrin, Sivan Magen, Sarah O’Brien und Mirjam Schröder. 
 Neben ihrer solistischen Tätigkeit ist Verena  kammermusikalischen aktiv, unter anderem mit dem Wagner Harp-Duo.

The goal of harpist Verena Wagner is to unveil the full spectrum of her instrument to her audience. Born and raised in Ingolstadt, she continued her studies at the Musikhochschule Detmold under the guidance of Professor Godelieve Schrama. A recipient of the Erasmus Scholarship, Verena conducted a residency in Paris at the Pôle supérieur d'enseignement artistique Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (PSPBB)  to study under Professor Ghislaine Petit-Volta, a leading harp professor in France. She will continue her studies with Mélanie Laurent at the Haute école des Arts du Rhin at Straßburg, France.  Verena is a fellow of the Cité internationale des arts Paris,and was supported by the GFF of the HfM Detmold as well as by PROMOS of the DAAD.

Under the instruction of Masumi Nagasawa, she receives training in historical single-action-pedal harp and historically informed performance practice. Verena is a regular member of the Studio Musikfabrik für neue Musik ensemble in Cologne, which stages concerts and premieres throughout North Rhine-Westphalia. She has further enriched her musical perspective through masterclasses with notable figures such as Isabelle Perrin, Sivan Magen, Sarah O'Brien, and Mirjam Schröder. 

Verena performs in various chamber music settings, including the Wagner Harp Duo and the Duo VerSa.
